What is PLR?
PLR is an acronym for Private Label Rights. Private Label rights, according to www.wikipedia.org are "an intellectual property right which allows you to modify a work and to claim the new work as your own from an authorship standpoint, but does not grant actual copyright to either the original or the modified work. Commonly used as content for online marketing schemes."
Many Internet Marketers use PLR products, such as blog content, articles, all the way to complete PLR packages. Is this is laziness or really the only way to get in the game?
It is really a matter of opinion. Most products that you purchase are still going to require significant editing, especially articles. When submitting your articles to the FFA (Free For All) sites and directories, they must be original or they won't be accepted. These sites are really cracking down on duplicate content, as well as overuse of keywords.
You can purchase complete PLR packages, which require minor modifications to the website content and product, if you are granted that right (every PLR license is different, be certain that you go over what you can and cannot do with each and every product). They still require a bit of effort and time to get them up and running, i.e. setting up the webpages, autoresponders, download pages, etc. But they do save you the time of creating your own product.
How to Find Good PLR Products
Finding high quality PLR products in not rocket science, you just need to know the right places to find them. I've spent a lot of time online finding the best places to get PLR and some are quite simply garbage, while others are absolutely great. When looking for high quality PLR sites, you want to find something that you can put your name on (if you so choose) and start selling immediately.
You want to look for the following qualities in a PLR package:
Quality Ebook This is crucial because you don't want a lot of returns; who wants to be issuing refunds? Besides it is just good business and ethical to promote only good products. Don't lose your integrity over trying to make a few bucks.
Graphics Make sure the graphics are professional looking and appealing. This will add credibility and help convert more visitor into buyers. Don't settle for cheap graphics.
Sales Page Read through the salescopy and put yourself in the potential buyer's mindset. Ask yourself, "would I buy this product". If the salescopy is not appealing then it will never make many sales.
Extra Stuff These are a plus if you can get them because they add more value to your product and help you sell more.
