Holding on to your ex girlfriend too strongly will cause you to revert right back into feeling like she has complete control and you have no say in the way that things go. That is not a good thing. You need to be able to let go for a little while, with the comfort of knowing that she will come back to you.
2. You need to be able to catch your ex girlfriend off guard.
What I mean by this is, your ex girlfriend is going to expect that you are going to try and do all that you can to get her back. Women know this stuff, it's in the magazines that they read, and in the conversations that they have with their friends. To catch her off guard, you really need to detach yourself from her for a while. Give her some time to have alone and make her feel as though you are getting on without her.
3. You need to implement a system that is *prove* to work like a charm to get your ex girlfriend back.
I wouldn't even try to touch a car engine without having a blueprint or a plan in hand, and I hope that you would not try to win back your ex girlfriend without one either.
