Quit Smoking Aids - Are They All A Rip-Off?

I confess I was deeply skeptical when a friend told me about yet another quit smoking aid. I'd got the t-shirt on those. Besides, well meaning friends who urged me to end my smoking habit were all too often on a hiding to nothing from me!

I took up the challenge of this one mostly to shut her up, it has to be said, but also because she assured me it would only take two hours of my time. After sixteen years of committed smoking, no one was going to talk me out of it in two hours so I felt safe!

As quit smoking aids go, however, the "Freedom From Smoking" program is full of surprises. For a start, I didn't expect to be told that it was okay for me to smoke throughout the program if I wanted to. What a relief! And where I was imagining that I'd be shown horrible images of diseased lungs, (no way would that have put me off), nothing of the sort came up. Of course, I can't speak for you if you try it - everyone's different I suppose.

Instead, throughout the six short videos, I was gently led by the hand and shown how my own mind had got it all muddled up. I found myself pondering questions such as, "how can I say I enjoy something I wish I didn't do?" It's a bit of a kick in the proverbial pants, that one, isn't it? But it's where it takes you next that little by little frees you from the grip of smoking.

The image at the top of the website says "Freedom From Smoking = Freedom From Slavery," and if I'm honest, I was a slave to smoking. I'd budget my money for my ciggies before my food or other bills if cash was tight. I'd even go out in freezing cold conditions to top up my supply of smokes if I had the slightest anxiety that I might run out before morning or during a chilly winter's weekend.

Worse than that, though, was that I stopped going to movies and the theater - which I love - because I knew I wouldn't be able to smoke! That crept up on me. It wasn't ever a conscious decision, but I just found myself more often deciding against getting tickets for shows until I more or less stopped altogether.

Did "Freedom From Smoking" work for me, then? Let me put it this way. I am a patron of theaters again - and I have the money for the shows. I have my energy and my self esteem back - and I'm free to go anywhere and do anything.

"Freedom From Smoking" made it astoundingly easy to walk away from half a lifetime of smoking without a pang and of all the quit smoking aids I ever saw or heard of, (and that was plenty), this is the only one I'd recommend. It's refreshingly different. Check it out!

Thanks, well meaning friend!
