Nokias newest handset, the C6, looks set to be a hit with consumers this summer thanks to the manufacturers equipping this handset with an array of useful and exciting features.

The Nokia C6 is a phone that people looking for multimedia features will be automatically drawn to. With regards to the camera facility, the C6 has a 5 million pixel camera. Although this is a fairly standard specification, it is more than adequate to take great quality images and these still maintain a great degree of clarity when shown on a bigger screen. The snapper however does benefit from useful features that assist the taking of such photographs. An LED flash means darker lighting need not affect what photos you take, and auto focus makes the images as clear as possible especially with smile and face detection really focusing on the important aspects within your picture. Video footage can also be captured, perfect for catching impromptu moments. This footage is in VGA quality at a rate of 30 frames per second. A micro SD card slot means memory can be added up to 16GB on the unit, with Nokia supplying a 2GB card with the handset. An array of audio formats are supported for those looking to use the C6 as a portable audio unit. MP3, WMA and eAAC+ are amongst those that the phone can handle. A huge choice of headphones can be used with the Nokia C6 courtesy of the 3.5mm headphone jack plug.

Unlike many of the phones Android rivals, the Nokia C6 runs on the Symbian OSv9.4 system. This is backed up by a speedy ARM 11 434Mhz processor which keeps everything ticking along nicely. Despite being a lesser known operating system, Symbian does give the user a host of options with regards to personalising your phone. The home screen is where much of this takes place. Your most frequently used widgets can be placed here, including Facebook and Twitter. There is even the option to be continuously updated with friends status updates on major social networking sites thanks to a live feed facility. A handy maps facility acts as a navigational tool, and also the Walk and Drive facility means you'll never find yourself lost again. Thanks to the superb quality screen, such applications look crystal clear. Over 16 million colours can be displayed as well as an impressive resolution of 360 x 640 pixels. In landscape mode the screen displays wonderful widescreen images, helped by the auto rotate function thanks to an on board accelerometer chip.

The Nokia C6 certainly performs well in all areas, youngsters will love the social networking facilities and the more traditional phone user will appreciate the great connectivity and Qwerty keypad.
