Samsung have taken mobile smartphones to another level with the introduction of the superb new handset, the Wave. Packed with useful features the phone boasts cutting edge screen technology with a sleek and stylish look.

The Samsung Wave hosts enough features to keep multimedia fans happy. Audio playback is great thanks in part to the excellent music player. Album artwork looks incredibly clear on the high resolution screen and the function buttons are well spaced out and well sized. The players has some neat options as well including the ability to add the song you are listening to onto a quick playlist. With regards to audio formats, the Wave supports MP3 files and features a microSD card slot, allowing the user to add up to 32GB of memory to store their information on. An FM tuner is built in to the handset, meaning your favourite radio stations can be listened to as well as your own tracks. The addition of a 3.5mm headphone jack opens the doors for a whole host of headphones to be used on the phone. With a screen of this quality, the Wave really does lend itself towards video playback, this is perfectly illustrated by the fact that the Wave support HD video playback. A host of file formats are supported including MP4, WMV, xVid and DIVX. The handset can also record its own high definition video in 720p resolution. Still shots can be captured at a rate of 5 mega pixels. This is high enough quality for the snaps to look very clear, with the autofocus and smile detection facility helping to achieve these results. A nice LED flash is also fitted, meaning it is not only pictures taken in daylight that will come out clearly.

The boom in social networking is acknowledged by the Samsung Wave, with the excellent Social Hub feature putting all the information you need into one easily viewable and manageable place. In addition to such sites, the hub collaborates information from your e mail accounts as well. The advantage of such as system is saving the user from having to log into individual applications and basically giving an easy overview of everything they need to know. Fantastic connectivity options makes such features even more effective. The handset if WiFi enabled so browsing the web at home is the ultimate mobile experience.
