Generally speaking, an excellent purchase
I did not expect the strongest hedge trimmer in the world, and, therefore, I cannot be disappointed by the "almost strong enough" power of the unit. Since I am using it to cut some mock orange and other ornamental bushes, it is accomplishing the purpose for which it was purchased. If you desire to trim branches more than one-quarter or three-eighths inch in thickness, I suggest that you purchase a gasoline powered unit. Otherwise, this unit is just what the doctor ordered.

The trimmer works well and performs as expected. However, the "lock-on" switch is very frustrating to use and can't get it to stay in the lock position most of the time. I land up using it without the lock which becomes tiring while having to hold the trigger the whole time during use. The cord retension barely accomodates a 14 gauge extension cord.
Get's the job done
I am really happy with the product that I purchased. It is strong and sweeps through the branches and leaves with ease. The only thing I would change would be the safety. Once you let go of the "on" button during cutting, you have to start all over again. (but I understand the concept of it's reason for being that way) If you are looking to clean up your yard... this is excellent!
