Central Florida Home Alarm Expert Reveals What You Must Know Before Talking to an Alarm Salesperson to Avoid Getting Oversold

Well, let's remember what we're dealing with here, friends. We're dealing with life safety, so to me, the biggest way you could get ripped off when you're buying an alarm system is that it's improperly designed. Remember, a security system is only as good as it's designed to be. I'll tell you, right here in Florida, I can show you system after system where there is no motion sensor in the master bedroom. Well, you've got French doors; you've got a sliding glass door in the master bedroom. When the people aren't home the bad guy breaks into that French door or sliding glass door without ever opening it. They duck tape it, and smash out the glass and walk right through. They rob the master bedroom and leave.

Rather than being worried about being ripped off by the company, conceptually you should be worried about and focused on properly protecting yourself to begin with. That said, after you know you're being properly protected, now you want to make sure that you don't pay too much. I also want to share with you that you don't want to pay too little. If you pay too little for an alarm and the reason you pay too little is because they're leaving a hole in the system, then you're not going to be properly protected. As well, if you pay too much, you might have been able to get your options cheaper. So how would you know? Obviously, you compare; you can do a little bit of comparison-shopping but again, what I like the best are references from friends. Because I've got news for you, if I go out to dinner and I pay an extra ten dollars in one place but I get a great meal, versus another place that was ten dollars cheaper and a horrible meal, I will go the ten dollars more any day of the week. Remember, you do get what you pay for when it comes to your life safety. Do not be cheap because the worst thing in the world would be to pay any money at all, and there is a hole inside that thing as big as a truck tire that any bad guy could walk right through after you've paid your money to protect yourself. So remember, protect yourself first and then from there, do a little bit of comparison shopping so you don't pay too much but remember also, you don't want to pay too little. You want to make sure that you're getting properly protected and be prepared to pay a little bit of money for it. I have a question for you: if you did have to pay a little bit of money for it, but it saved your life, would it be worth it? And I think the answer to that question is an unequivocal yes. That's why you're watching the video; so do it right the first time and then you don't have to revisit it.
