My Top 5 Reasons Why People Fail in Network Marketing

There are many reasons why people fail in network marketing. I came up with a short list of what I believe are 5 important reasons.

1. They have the wrong mindset going in. They come across an opportunity and assume it will make them rich quick and become debt free forever. As with any business, it takes time. You need to invest in yourself along with your business to become successful.

2. They are told to make a list of friends and family and pitch them their business opportunity. Usually they become skeptical and show no interest in your opportunity. Once they feel rejection from doing this, they lose self confidence and give up.

3. They spend too much time and effort on trying to sell their business, rather than to sell themselves. Once you learn to brand yourself and people see you as a problem solver, it will become much easier to sell your business.

4. Lack of insufficient funds. As with any business you need some capital. There are monthly fees, auto ship fees, fees for any paid marketing you do. Also investing in training for you and your business will add to your budget. This is an issue to most people that first start a business. You need to look at what you can afford and choose your business opportunities wisely.

5. Most people in network marketing have full time jobs and are raising a family and do network marketing on the side. Some people see this as a hobby. You need to treat your business as a real business, with professionalism, with goals and dedicate time to reach those goals. Most of all do not give up.
