Last weekend, my niece came to visit me. When she used my computer, she was surprised that I didn't have any protective measures to the laptop display. It was out of my expectation. She giggled and replied that I should put a protective film on the screen. It's not the first time that people told me to have a film attaching on the screen. From the information that I collected, it's easy to see that it's not a good idea to have a protective film.
Our laptop display is Liquid Crystal Display screen. To be more vivid, its main structure is similar to a sandwich. There are two layers with the crystal lights inside. When the laptop is working, the crystal lights are active. Whether it has a protective or not, it will get aged as time pass by. As to the protective film, its main task is to keep the screen tidy. Thus, the film has some defects. As we know, the display has radiated some heat while on working condition. The film sticking to the screen will block the way. But, most people have seen the good side, ignoring the negative side.
In addition, the screen is designed perfectly for eye vision. Once we attach a protective film, though it's thin and opaque, it will have some bad effects to the vision while watching movie. Often, we use it to keep the screen clean and tidy. In fact, we can make it without the film. As my Compaq CQ60-211DX LCD screen, I keep it clean without any spot or dirt on it. for my niece, she has her Samsung LTN156AT01 LCD screen changed for one time. That is why I was so surprised by her reaction to my laptop. I am always doing better than her.
