Find out his measurements and get him some new clothes that are more stylish as well as less "worn out." A great DIY idea is to prepare a gift basket with some great smelling, moisturizing, and body supplies. Your Dad may have a favorite cologne, so keep that in mind when you are preparing the gift basket. Find out his favorite cologne then get him some of that brand shower gel, shampoo, shaving gels, etc. You'll have your Dad smelling so good and many of these are also moisturizing so you can help him with his dry skin as well.
Generally baby-boomer Dads are not going to be hip to getting a makeover, so you might have to be a little sneaky about it. Being sneaky doesn't mean you should feel guilty!
