Does Dad Need a Make Over? Check Out These Great Gift Ideas to Get Him Started

Sometimes the great gift ideas for men involve personal grooming items and things to get him jumpstarted on being more fashionable. You can give your Dad a makeover without him even realizing he is getting a makeover-which is often wise to not let him know you are trying to get him 'made over.' Some Dad's may think that it is an unusual gift and over the top for him but, you can give the Christmas gift to Dad of a makeover without him knowing that is what you are doing!

For starters, let's look at shaving sets as a great Christmas gift for Dad. Some clippers, new razors and shaving foam are a great place to start. When provided these tools your Dad may be more likely to shave that stubble off his face and by doing so he'll be taking years off his face.

Another great Christmas gift for Dad to give him a makeover is to buy him new clothes. Your Dad may not like to shop, so a gift card for this may not be a good idea. Find out his measurements and get him some new clothes that are more stylish as well as less "worn out." Some basics like polo or button down dress shirts and a few pairs of dress pants or khakis will be ideal.

A great DIY idea is to prepare a gift basket with some great smelling, moisturizing, and body supplies. Your Dad may have a favorite cologne, so keep that in mind when you are preparing the gift basket. Find out his favorite cologne then get him some of that brand shower gel, shampoo, shaving gels, etc. You'll have your Dad smelling so good and many of these are also moisturizing so you can help him with his dry skin as well.

Generally baby-boomer Dads are not going to be hip to getting a makeover, so you might have to be a little sneaky about it. Being sneaky doesn't mean you should feel guilty! Just be sure that the gifts for Dad are things he will use and appreciate. You may not be able to get your Dad a gift that will make him look like a model from GQ Magazine, but every little bit helps him look better and feel better about himself in the process. In my opinion, one of the best Christmas gifts for Dad is something that will give him a higher self-esteem!
