Maroon5: "Hands All Over," album reaches out to a new group of fans

Maroon 5 did it again, "Hands All Over" is their newest successful album, now in stores since mid September. This album is evident that Maroon 5 is one of the best modern rock bands, since Guns and Roses. They are a bunch of American rockers that we have always craved for but never really got. This album is a mixture of soul, funk, country, and rock.

It is evident that they want to reach out to all types a fans, but is this a good move? The critics have always been harsh in the music industry on bands. Although it is best to hear the album and judge for yourself. In this album the band has worked with Robert "Mutt" Lange, who has great experience with working behind the scenes with some great musicians like Def Leppard, AC/DC, and his ex-wife Shania Twain. "Mutt helped me orchestrate some high harmony things that sound like they could be from a female We thought, Wow, we need a girl to sing this, it sounds like a country duet.' And that's what it turned into." said Adam Levin in a recent interview with npr. ( http://www.npr.org/player/v2/mediaPlayer.html )

It is clear that the band is still looking for their own identity. "We love so many different styles of music. Stylistically, we just feel like we're so all over the map sometimes." Though it might be risky to try new things, but it has been accomplished successfully in the past. Maroon 5 is thrilled about this new album, and are sure "Hands All Over" will push them to a new level. If you love maroon 5 be sure to catch them perform.
