You should be able to find out how much light is required as well. If a plant requires a lot of sunlight and your house can not provide it, it might be possible to substitute a grow light instead of natural light. Such is the case with plants like African violets. They need a lot of light, but not necessarily hot light like sunlight from a window tends to get sometimes.
Plants inside the home are beneficial as well as add a great decorative touch. You can easily add them to your house if you just take the time to read about certain houseplant species before you buy them. Look up plants that are easy to care for and you should be able to grow houseplants as well as someone who supposedly has a green thumb.
