1. What are you aiming for

Does your business give you something to look forward to.....something that makes you jump out of bed eagerly each and every morning? With such a purpose to look forward to, this business is enjoyable, worthwhile and you are definitely on the right path to success.

What do you hope to achieve from your network marketing business?

Not many people know precisely what they want. Sure, some want to be millionaires, but how many people wish for this, and how many millionaires are actually out there?

When you know what you want, you clearly know every reason why you absolutely must have what it is that you want. When you know what you desire, you know what it will cost you not to accomplish your goal. When you clearly define and know this, then you know your goal.

With a clear desire, you know where you are going and you can and will get there. You can define what success means to you. Without a clear desire, you cannot define success, and so anything will do; it's similar to wandering in a desert without a compass or clue as to where you are or where you're going.

Without goals, your business goes in no exact direction. You may eventually end up trying to do a lot of different things, all with no meaningful end result.

2. Belief is absolutely necessary

Have belief in yourself and that you will achieve your major desire. You can never quantify the value of faith, but ask anyone who has made it in this industry and they will mention faith as a important part of their success.

With belief, you can do anything that you put your mind to. A sport such as golf, in my opinion, is mostly based on your mindset and an unwavering belief in your ability. There is of course some ability required, but without this faith, you will not win. An analysis of some of the most successful golfers in the world will show how much they value faith in their abilities.

Just watch a big sporting event, and notice how an athlete you know to be so skilled at doing a certian activity can break down on the greatest stage of all? You know they have the skill, but they just can't seem to produce results. The one missing ingredient is faith.

3. A Step-By-Step Action Plan

A goal which lacks a plan gets you easily disappointed.

Knowing where you want to go is never enough. You must also know how you will get there. By this, I do not mean that you must know in minute detail how you will do everything that is essential for you to achieve your goal. I mean you must have a step-by-step guide, showing you how you will achieve your goal.

Have a plan that you trust and believe in. This will go far in influencing you to take consistent action towards your success.

4. Find out which component of your business you can be the best at.

A mlm business has many facets to it, all important in their own right.

If you are building your business the Old School way, you have to have a way of getting your business presentation in front of people. You will have to follow up with them and talk to them on the phone. You have to sell to them. You sometimes have to do presentations in person. You can even market in local papers and/or magazines and make some fancy cards to drop door to door.

Building your mlm business leveraging the internet has its own unavoidable processes too. You may be doing Blogging, SEO, Email Marketing, Video Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Calling your leads to close the sale, and so many more processes.

Either way, you will have to take action. Figure out which of these aspects you can be the most competent in the world at, and master this.

It's not necessarily a skill you might be good at NOW. It may not even be something you know much about right now.

Now, if this is something you're passionate about (and hopefully you are), you will most likely find success at this.

Become a master of this component of your business and you will find success.

5. Where is the profit

What drives your business profits?

If you're doing your business the old school way, then you know that you need to make sales. The more of your products or services, or your business opportunity you can sell, and the less your costs are, the more money you will make in your business.

In online network marketing, it's also sales. You can be selling your products and/or business opportunity, as well as other affiliate products. The more sales you make, the larger your profits are.

In either case, sales will drive your profits.

But, there is a powerful ingredient added to this.......it's your relationship with your prospects. The better this relationship is, the more profit you will make. If you do not take the time to develop this relationship with your prospects, your profits will suffer.

If you know what you want to achieve, find an aspect of it that you can be the best in the world at, and that makes you money, then you are definitely on your way to Network Marketing success.
