If you are stuck for somewhere to take the children this October half term to keep them amused, then why not try the Heritage Motor Centre in Warwickshire?
Said to be the home of the world's greatest collection of British cars, the museum offers fun for all the family and tells the story from the first car that was ever produced to the modern day vehicles we see on the roads. It houses one hundred and eighty cars, and explains in details how the vehicles work, with interactive exhibits for the children to participate in. They can also take a spin on the go carting track, and try a 4x4 vehicle. For smaller children, there is a miniature roadway where the little ones can navigate roads and roundabouts, away from the more boisterous older kids.
There are free guided tours of the exhibition twice a day, so if you prefer to be told the interesting stories of the three hundred plus cars housed atthe museum, and what sort of Car Insurance they would have needed, then this is the best time to do so.
There is a cafe for when the children get hungry which also offers kids meals during the holidays, as well as a vast range of snacks and meals for all the family. The museum also offers a facility for children's birthday parties of your child is particularly enamoured with cars!
At the end of the visit, the gift shop offers a selection of motoring memorabilia to take home for dad when he gets back from the office.
