Get Rid Of Acne And Oily Skin Issues

There isn't a single person out there who likes having acne. Most of us spend quite a lot of time and effort fighting against breakouts. You probably don't even want to think about all of the money you spend on facial products that are designed to give you better skin. Sadly, for some of us, acne problems do not always go away with when we are done with puberty. Lots of people never stop fighting against acne or zits or breakouts. Keep reading to learn some of the things you can do to strengthen your fight against acne and breakouts.

Make sure your hair stays away from your face.

The reason your hair should stay away from your face is that your scalp produces oil which gets transferred to your hair which can then clog your pores if your hair is in your face. When you have long hair it has a way of falling in your face whether or not you want it to, which is how so many people end up with clogged pores, even as adults! Sure having long hair is fun, but if you want to fight against acne, keep it off of your face. There are lots of ways to keep your hair off of your face and still be stylish: braids, ponytails, headbands, clips, etc. Your pores will be grateful! Get a dermatologist to help you. Unfortunately not everyone can use an over the counter product to cure their acne problems. Sometimes you need to ask a doctor for help--especially if nothing is helping to ease your acne and breakouts. A dermatologist will be able to give you prescription strength acne fighting products. Sometimes acne is caused by something else besides simple dirt and bacteria and your dermatologist will be able to tell if this is the case. Did you know that acne can be caused by genetics or other medical conditions? A skin care professional will be able to properly diagnose your acne and breakouts and will be able to give you directions on how to cure them.

Stay out of the sun as much as you can! Slathering on sunscreen might seem counterproductive to people who focus on keeping their pores substance free. There are plenty of oil-free sunscreen alternatives out there.

Gone are the days of only having heavy and oily sunscreen lotions to choose from. Now you can choose between sunscreens that are light and can be sprayed on instead of rubbed in. More importantly, most lotions and makeup products already contain sunscreen so you don't have to put multiple layers of product on. Don't forget that tanning will not prevent acne, it will only support skin cancer.

Treat your acne in whatever way works best for you. You might be able to use a simple mask made of natural ingredients while someone else might need something so strong they need a prescription from their doctor to use it. Believe it or not there are even some people who are able to cure their acne with diet and exercise. Finding the ultimate cure for your acne is a trial and error process. Keep at it and you will eventually find the best acne remedy for your skin. Don't give up and soon you will have clean and clear skin!
