Banqueting Chairs Methods To Seat Guests In Comfort

Banqueting chairs come in many different styles and comfort levels. Choosing chairs capable of seating the majority of guests comfortably can make the difference between an enjoyable banquet or meeting experience and one that you can't wait to complete. Chairs intended for banquets or restaurant events are also suitable for overflow seating in various venues. They may be purchased for use in church fellowship halls or rented for occasional special events prepared by caterers.

Chairs that are rented by commercial organizations often are very lightweight. There is little option in either color or style. Often these rental units are constructed of stackable molded plastic or vinyl. If the chairs are better quality or somewhat customized, they can still be stacked, but may feature cushions or upholstered backs. Chairs that can be stacked are important when there is not much storage space. Inexpensive chairs may be purchased rather than rented repeatedly for cost savings.

Hotels and resorts that function as conference centers have multiple meeting rooms in most instances. They will store chairs that can be easily set up and taken down, depending upon the nature of intended use. Conference center chairs tend to be customized to some extent so that they match the decor of the hotel in color and style. Regardless of the style, the chairs usually feature fabrics that can easily be cleaned and maintained.

Chairs useful for group seating are generally purchased in darker colors so that any soil or spills will be less likely to destroy the usefulness. Upholstered chairs may be dark in color or in patterned designs so that soil and wear is not so obvious. A room with seating in upholstered chairs is likely to have less ambient noise that plastic or metal chairs.

The best quality chairs that have upholstered seats can be recovered to eliminate signs of wear. The chair legs selected for areas where they will be moved around by the patron may have roller wheels that are large enough to avoid excessive wear on the floor covering. Other styles of chairs that are more like those found in a home dining room can use glider pads to make moving around easier.

Chair frames vary greatly in design, construction material, colors and sizes. Choosing a wood frame is often a sign of an upscale establishment, especially if the chair is fully upholstered. Unpadded chairs or chairs that are solid wood are beautiful, but they may not be as comfortable for long term seating.

Chairs made with metal parts stand up better to heavy wear and tear by seated guests, but they are heavier to carry and move from location to location. If chairs are to be used in outdoor locations, special finishes must be used to prevent rusting. Plastic chairs are impervious to moisture but they can become brittle with age.

Banqueting chairs that are rented must be more utilitarian in most instances. These pieces of furniture not only have the usage during a banquet or other gathering, they have the wear and tear of getting them to and from the banquet site. For those responsible for setting up and tearing down banquet facilities, lightweight and easily cleaned furniture is preferred.
