I really don't think this game stinks, I mean I enjoyed it mostly. Overall, though Shank's unassuming type and blatant old-school influence form it a must-have for fans of games like Gunstar conquerors, clone Dragon, and Contra. Veto stuff what, vengeance be obliged to be yours. So pick it up and collapse it a playthrough. I call to mind opening with the single-player mode than pitiful on top of two-player - it gives 2P mode a cool prequel picture feel, much cooler than Phantom Menace. The cross competition for the main style of this game has a bit of a tall order to overcome. But then again, that's the challange for any new game title and making an impact upon release.
