Banqueting Chairs Methods To Seat A Group Comfortably

Banqueting chairs come in many different styles and comfort levels. Choosing chairs capable of seating the majority of guests comfortably can make the difference between an enjoyable banquet or meeting experience and one that you can't wait to complete. Chairs intended for banquets or restaurant events are also suitable for overflow seating in various venues. They may be purchased for use in church fellowship halls or rented for occasional special events prepared by caterers.

Churches and meeting halls may choose to purchase chairs rather than to rent them each time a meeting, concert, overflow crowd or reception occurs. Rental business chairs are often quite generic. They usually can be stacked or placed in racks of some type so they can be easily transported from the store to the location where the event will be held. More expensive rental chairs can feature padded or upholstered seats and backs but will still be stackable.

When conference centers and hotel meeting rooms supply chairs, they usually are set up specifically for the size of group that will be attending the session. These chairs usually are more comfortable than generic chairs so that guests will be more comfortable. The chairs may be padded or upholstered; fabric used for the padding usually has better cleaning options.

Chairs for banquet halls and similar locations are available in many colors and styles. The chairs may match the design of other amenities within the center or may be simpler. Darker colors and patterned upholstery designs will make the chairs less susceptible to obvious staining and wear. Plastic chairs are easier to keep clean, but in a crowded room, the non-upholstered chairs can be more noisy.

The choice of fabric and chair feet is important to prevent signs of wear on the seat and on the floor respectively. Upholstered chairs may feature fabrics and designs that can be recovered as needed. If chairs are to be moved up to and away from dining tables repeatedly, the feet of the chairs may have wheels or roller balls. This design can cause undue carpet or floor wear. Other chairs, such as straight-leg dining room style chairs have glider buttons on the base of the legs.

Chair frames vary greatly in design, construction material, colors and sizes. Choosing a wood frame is often a sign of an upscale establishment, especially if the chair is fully upholstered. Unpadded chairs or chairs that are solid wood are beautiful, but they may not be as comfortable for long term seating.

Metal chair legs are very durable and can be used in locations where there will be lots of use. Chairs with metal legs and frames can weigh more than chairs constructed of vinyl or plastic materials. If chairs are to be used outdoors, the construction material is important so that there is not the possibility of rust, mildew, moisture or dampness damage.

Banqueting chairs intended to be rented must be more durable than others. They see heavy use by seated guests during the events for which they are rented. They also have the wear from transporting the seating from the rental location to the site of the event.
