Stomach acid as the main cause of common stomach problems

The so-called gastric acid is commonly known as stomach acid which is a kind of secretion that is being produced in the stomach area. This kind of acid is mostly consisted of sodium chloride, hydrochloric acid and potassium chloride. A person should have a normal pH balance of acid in the stomach that ranges from one to two in order to avoid having stomach problems. The kind of secretion made by the stomach is very vital in the process of digestion simply because the stomach needs gastric acid in order for it to breakdown and digests all the consumed foods and other substances. When there is a large amount of secretion of the stomach acid or when the secretion decreases, this could greatly lead to symptoms of acid indigestion as well as other stomach acid problems and other health related conditions.

The stomach has the capability to create its own acid that is needed in breaking down foods and also aids in the overall digestion in the body. Any cause of imbalance whether deficit or excess acidscould definitely cause health problems. When the level of the stomach acid becomes higher or lower than the needed amount, this could result to having a burning sensation and discomfort in the stomach, gastritis and gastric ulcers. Hypochlorhydria is the term for having lower level of gastric acid and achlorhydria as to when the stomach cannot produce or produces no acid at all.

The main cause of having stomach problems especially acids problems in the stomach are having a lack for different vitamins and minerals that are vital for absorption and stomach acid production. Malnutrition and having a bad dietary habit is a major source of nutrient deficiency to the body. Aside from that, having an excessive consumption of alcohol or any other substances can also delay the cells that will produce the gastric acid. Having too much stress can also take part in increasing or decreasing the production of stomach acids needed to have a balance digestive tract. The presence of bacteria which is known as Helicobacter pylori can greatly inhibit the ability of the stomach to produce the right amount of gastric acid and this kind of condition usually leads to having acid reflux disease as well as other health related problems.

Here are the different symptoms that are being imposed by the body whenever it experiences a stomach acid imbalance that will result to stomach problems: Upset stomach, sense of fullness whether you have eaten or not, heartburn, indigestion, nausea, vomiting and having foods that are still undigested in the stool.
