I have been asked by Radio Lancashire in Blackburn to assist them in an interview regardingremovals overseas apparently a listener is having problems getting the right advice, I have done these before and the DJ always asks me for a funny story. Which brings to mind a tale back in the late 70's when I was still at school, my Dad was running the company in Blackpool and he received a call from a customer in Preston wanting to move to Australia however this was no ordinary move, the customer wanted to take her parrot and budgie with her. In these circumstances we usually contract a pet carrier specialist to carry this out but the Lady wanted to the birds to be collected on the same day as her furniture so we ordered the specially tailored boxes and arrived to collect the goods and the birds. The customer was busy in the kitchen mopping the floor this is something women do when moving house allowing the next woman to do exactly the same thing when she moves in. As the crew walked in the kitchen they noticed the parrot and budgie out of their cages and flying around apparently they were enjoying their last moments of freedom for a while, as the customer raised the mop handle to squeeze the water into the bucket the budgie flew into the mop handle and then stunned landed in the bucket, the lady started to panic trying to fish the bird out of the water when the parrot landed on her shoulder and said "whose a pretty boy then"
