I myself grew up on an base in New Zealand & my father flew into East Timor on missions but nothing to the extent of Brian's solider life. So as a young child I went through some of the emotions named at the starting of this book and was starting to relate. War in East Timor and Iraq are so well described in this book "In Harms Way" for instance........

And just as my car was turning around i saw a RPG (Rocket Propelled Grenade) heading towards us..............
And Carries on like this going into much detail but I can't give away the story cause that's a bloody good bit!!.
