subject: Camping Checklist [print this page] Camping Checklist Camping Checklist
Here's a typical checklist of camping gear needed for a comfortable trip with family and friends. You probably won't need all the items all the time, some are fairly obvious but easily forgotten and good to double check, and you will also have ideas of your own for what else to add. Keep it flexible and adapt as you go, bearing in mind the style of camping you are embarking on. You can afford a few more luxuries and heavier items if you are taking the car or touring, whereas you will need to be more selective if you are carrying your gear on a backpacking trip. Clothes, food, drinks, games, toys and other interests are down to you!:

Tent - flysheet and inner/s, poles, guylines and pegs (do a quick check to make sure all are present so you don't turn up at the campsite realising you lent the poles to your neighbour back at home.)
