In 1960's an American doctors treated their patients to remove unnecessary body tissues, following the European surgeon, Leon Forrester Tcheupdjain. But these cases were becoming scandals and media condemned these incidents in which the patients' morbidity rates were increasing day by day. These treatments were also causing excessive bleeding and the damage of the parts of the body and many doctors were even charged. But the people wanted their unpleasant look to be cured through such treatments. So the surgeons kept researching on this issue to modify the methods. In 1974, in the city of Rome, Italy, two doctors astonished the whole world, inventing a new method of removing body tissues. It was more modified and morbidity chances were also low in it. They were Italian-American surgeons, doctor Giorgio and Arpad Fischer. liposuction But this treatment also could not give such good results as were being expected from. The problem was still there and not as resolved as was needed. Again a French doctor Dr. Yves-Gerard Illouz surpassed everyone. In 1982 he gave a presentation on this type of operation introducing a new method called, 'Illouz method'. It gave good results and chances of low morbidity. This was the treatment of liposuction, which is now a well known kind of plastic surgery. People now make remove their fats through liposuction, to be looked smart. Now the chubby and bulky people should not be worried about. The modern treatment of liposuction is based on the later type of treatment, introduced by the French surgeon, through which tool cannulas is used to infuse fluid in tissues and the fats are sucked through suction-assisted lipolysis method. In 1980's, in America different methods were tried with some amendments for liposuction, which resulted mixed outcomes. In 1985 two other doctors Klein and Lillis introduced 'tumescent technique'. This treatment allowed both the doctor and the patient to be operated in office setting, through intravenous sedation, instead of general anesthesia used in previous treatments. In 9990's the ultrasonic energy was used for the removal of the fats. But it did not give good results so the enthusiasm for the ultra sound technique, attenuated. Laser methods are now recently introduced, and are being modified for more beneficial results. Wrinkles are also being treated trough this technique restoring disproportionate fats of the one part of the body into wrinkled areas. What the people learnt from the French model's tragic event? Although Mr. Charles Dujarier could not be able to treat the poor model properly but this event gave the notion to the whole world that such technique could be invented that could help in correction or the reformation of the body parts, and this technique is now a well-known treatment and getting popular day by day.
