Chose a secluded place where you will not be distracted. Close your eyes and sit quietly, paying attention to your breathing and the sensations and sounds that surround you. Pay attention to the fleeting thoughts that cross your mind but do not hold on to any of them.Now days, there is a lot of focus on reducing stress levels of the body and mind. We are aware that it also helps to reduce blood pressure, chronic pains, insomnia and anxiety. Therefore, it can help cancer patients to combat stress, pain, fear and anxiety. The quality of your life improves tremendously.You find other therapies, such as biofeedback, massage, acupuncture, hypnosis therapy, etc. Use Meditation as a complimentary or alternative therapy. It can be used in combination with standard treatments but will not cure cancer by itself.The advantages are that it can reduce stress levels, chronic pain, blood pressure and so many problems that have an impact on the body. Cancer patients benefit a great deal with meditation as they are able to cope with the disease and improve the quality of their life.
