LOVE FILM???
Films are made and watched by millions of people, in a multi-billion dollar industry. These films are a passage into a new world and a relief from everyday reality. This industry is already in place, and what is resulting from this is a huge population desiring to vent their feelings about these films; and the internet provides the perfect platform for this.
However, on searching the internet their are very few websites which actually encourage discussion on film. Even IMBd, the leading film database has very little discussion, and revolves purely around film stats, not people's views.
The site vibenite is a fledgeling company and so only has a very limited number of film reviews but the site offers good informative film reviews, with both a synopsis: summarizing the plot (without spoilers) and also a reasonable sense of how "good" the film is. The reviews are taken from a number of sources and edited, and then assembled to create an extremely informative, but brief account of the film, or Television.
Readers are then free to comment on the review. These comments can either contain thoughts about the review itself, and perhaps ways in which it could be improved, but also about the film. E.g. Hot Fuzz - Great film - HILARIOUS! Loved the part when Danny tries to follow PC Nicholas Angel over the fence: Ouch!! MUST SEE, full of true belly laughs!
The site would welcome any viewers (all visitors are free to comment, no membership is required) and although there are not many reviews, there are plans for this limited selection to rapidly expand.
The site is completely free and encourages people of all ages to interact with the awesome variety of film on offer.
