First, Know Which Druid Build You're Going With

For leveling you definitely want to avoid "resto," (shorthand for 'restoration.') A resto druid will not be able to kill the enemies quickly and will probably bore you to death. Only the very dedicated, and the people who actually enjoy the leveling process, ever level as restoration. Avoid that for sure.
Feral or Balance is the Specialization to Use When Druid Leveling
As feral you will be in cat form most of the time, and you'll be very much like a rogue. You will be very adept at hand-to-hand combat and you will pretty much be druid leveling just from melee damage. If you go the balance route you will be a caster, which has its pluses and minuses. When you are a caster you can be interrupted, and because you will be in "human" form you take a bit more damage.
However, you can kill things a bit faster if you start at maximum range, and many times you can kill stuff before it even reaches you. Also, you will have special abilities that keep them away which will be fantastic for keeping yourself alive.
A Few Important Things to Avoid When Druid Leveling
Don't level anywhere that's too far above your current level. For instance, if you are level 30 don't go somewhere where the average mob level is 32. You need to keep it just at your same level, or right below you. This will ensure that you can continually kill mobs without having to stop too often.
One of the great things about being feral is that you never really stop. As Balance you have to stop and drink quite often to restore your mana. As feral, you just transform back into human form and heal yourself, then continue leveling.
