Saga of a Texas Ranger is a wonderfully written western. I enjoy the bits of real Texas History and the story feels so real. Caleb will experience loss, love and adventure as he grows throughout the story. Caleb will go from young kid to a respected leader in a very short time. Caleb will get caught up in a family feud that his family tried to leave behind years earlier.
I want you to know that Jeff does an incredible job of really making you feel like you are in the action, when you start reading the book it wont take you long to find out what I mean. His main characters are thoroughly fleshed out, so well you see them in your mind. The relationships and the battle scenes really get you tied in to this great book. It is a great work of Historical Fiction, meaning he uses real history and weaves a story around it, and he does it very well. You wont want to put the book down. this book is a book that you will keep and cherish.
