What is Keyword Research?.
Keyword research is the process of which words are going to be
the most profitable for you. Lets dig a little deeper.
What is a keyword?
Its a word we want to find on google to find a a particular product you was searching forNow we need to find popular keywords that will appear in googles search engine results page.
So how do we find popular keywords?
Finding keywords is a two step process.
1) We will use a keyword research tool to discover how many searches there are for
a particular keyword!!.
Once we know how many people are searching for that particular keyword we then go
to step two.
2) We will discover how many searches there was for that particular keyword
So the golden rule is=
We want to discover keywords that are high in searches and low in competition.
Firstly there are two types of keywords.
1) Short tail keywords with a number of words id say about three.
But the problem being is that with this keyword you get a lot of competition.
2) Longtail keywords are more specific ie about seven or eight words but with these
keywords you would then get a high amount of searches in your keyword tool but in
google you will have lower competition.
So basically we are looking for a profitable longtail keyword.
This is how we do this
We would use a free keyword research tool so we would go to google and type in
keyword tool.
Then you would type in what your website is about for example online business
from home,create a website,my own website etc.
At this point you are only brainstorming getting some ideas.
Now you typed in your keyword and you found out the global monthly search was
over 2000 thats ok.
So we now need to find the competition, so you would go back to google and type
in your keywords in "speech marks".
But why do we do this?
Its because google will then only show the results page that match that exact
keyword.
Now if the first one in google is too high in search volume in "speech marks" go back
to your keyword research tool and look at variations of that word.
The formula would be, in your keyword tool searches higher than 2000 is fine
and in google with keyword in "speech marks" this would be about 60,000 to 70,000.
So now we have high searches for that keyword and low competition.
