Toshiba RDXV60 - At Last a Combo with All Round Quality!

The Toshiba RDXV60 is the latest combo machine and actually combines a DVD player, a VCR player, a HDD and also comes with Freeview+ so this potentially could replace up to 4 of your existing devices. The first generation of these combi machines sometimes had problems with the quality of the individual parts but this latest model has overcome these problems and is definitely worthy of your consideration.

What can the Toshiba RDXV60 do for me?

The DVD player can upscale DVD's to near HD quality if you possess a HDTV via its HDMI link. You can also record DVD's from the harddisk or direct from a VHS tape as well.

A major plus for this unit is if you have many old VHS tapes around. The VHS player is of excellent quality but if you want to preserve your old footage or tapes it is easy to copy them to the hard disk drive or a DVD!

The Hard drive has a large capacity of 320GB, ideal for recording lots of HD quality films and TV shows. You can record a TV series at a click of a button and while watching TV you can pause or rewind it if you get any interruptions.

And if you need any extra channels the Freeview+ built-in provides another 50!

No Space? Need to Preserve Your VHS Tapes?

One of the major problems I have is fitting in all my various TV accessories around the TV. They create a jumble of wires and leads everywhere and I have multiple controls which my children keep losing for me. When I replaced them all with my Toshiba RDXV60 I was very pleased to get back some extra space in my living room and just have one control to worry about getting lost!

However, I think the main problem I had was that I was worried I would lose my old VHS tapes. A few of them have worn out and are effectively ruined and although I could watch the others on my old VHS player I knew I needed to do something. The feature to transfer VHS tapes to DVD is a major benefit of this product. It is easy to set up to do and leave copying while you are busy with other things. The quality of the VHS images is much better than I expected as well.

Toshiba RDXV60 Conclusion

This is a good product with many useful features. If I have a criticism is that it is a bit complicated to initially learn how to use. But it comes with an excellent and in-depth manual and if you persevere you soon get the hang of it. If you are looking for a product with its functionality it is well-worth looking at.
