What is the Fashion Designing Course About?
The Fashion Design program at INIFD-Andheri begins with learning the basics through academic study and hands-on instruction. You'll learn by doing.. You take classes in sketching,
patternmaking, fashion art and history, draping and design, textiles, sewing, and crucial design room techniques. You'll study all facets of fashion design at INIFD-Andheri learning
how to conceive, develop, and create your own designs from sketch to garment
Fashion Merchandising Concepts, principles of Merchandising, basic for profitable fashion merchandising will be taught in this subject. Students will also be exposed to Fashion researching and product development, Fashion marketing operations, Retailing, visual merchandising, merchandising aids, merchandise sales, Fashion promotion, advertising and media planning, fashion shows production and exhibitions.
Students will learn drafting according to standard measurements, manipulation of basic blocks into various designs, making paper patterns for garments of knitwear section , Size grading, Fabric preparation for cutting, planning the placement of pattern, cutting pattern from fabric, cutting methods and application, stitching methods and application, seams and stitches, sewing equipment.
