I think that congress will do very well in this election. We are quite well placed. The issues is not whether we are going to get the money back from the Swiss bank or not, but the issue is why does it strike the BJP fifteen days before the Loksabha election. Swiss bank has been here for hundreds of years. When NDA was in power, why it did not do anything. But not one word about the Swiss bank. But now before general election Swiss banks are coming out, you have terrorism coming out. They forget about terrorists. So now Manmohan singh is weak on terrorism. We put tremendous pressure on Pakistan. The firs time Pakistan said yes, terror attacks originated from Pakistan. The only reason that PM had put tremendous pressure on Pak, otherwise it would not have done it.
In the youth Congress what we are doing is, we are trying to have a democratically elected system and trying to make a link between performance of people and how they progress in the organization. Youth congress and NSUI needs to be built. There are certain people who are helping us to construct the organization.
That newspaper article is lie and I am going to take legal action against them within two or three days. The Cambridge has itself clarified the matter. That is a malicious article I have gone through and I m going to fix that problem.
Wherever I go in Delhi, I see the poster of Advaniji with description over there, saying strong leader. But I have a question for Mr. Advani. He calls my PM, India's PM, your PM is weak. But I have a question, when Kandhar happened, the gentleman who is released went and carried out numerous terrorists attacks after that. He attacked the parliament house. Mr. Advani stated that he did not know about the flight to Kandhar of Mr. Jaswant Singh, that he did not know that these three people were released. My questions to Mr. Advani are, if Mr. Advani is such a strong leader, how could he have been Home Minister of this country and not know something so fundamental. There are only two possibilities here; the first possibility is his leader did not trust him and second is that he is not telling the truth. So I would like to know, the youth of this country would like to know that which one of these possibilities is correct one? If his PM did not believe in him, why he was carrying up the Home Minister? During the time of a biggest crisis the country was facing, if your PM did not have faith in you, you should have resigned.
I agree with Mr. Advani substantially and it is the communal politics and which is played by the BJP.
My stance is clear. Tamil people in SriLanka should not be harmed. And is putting a lot of pressure on SriLanka to ensure that these thing don't happen. That is my only stance.
The alliance is pretty much as it was. In fact we were new partners, we have had minor issue in Bihar. Both Samajwadi Party and RJD have said to support us. You are saying like UPA alliance is finished but the reality is very different.
I tell you what the issue here is; there was a fundamental disagreement between Left and us. The disagreement was that we believed that energy security is fundamental for this country. We cannot run this country for the long term without having a serious plan for energy security. We said that the energy deal is important for the future of India's energy security. And they said that at the no cost, should we have this deal. Its not ingratitude. It is our belief that for India's interest to do something. You say it ingratitude or something, but will do what we want for India's interest. And that is what PM told me and I completely agree with. We will not do anything that is against India's interest and we will drop this government ourselves before we do anything against India's interest.
Again and again and again, I think that we will do reasonably well in this elections and if that situation arises I will see but I don't see the situation arising.
Action is to be taken against Mr.Vioko. In this country there is a legal system. If he has broken a low, we will take a strong cause but again my stance is very simple. The innocent Tamil civilians in SriLanka must not be harmed full stop.
I mean now I have running around the whole day for election fight, so I will only speak as the general secretary of youth congress. What we are trying to do is develop a system by which youth can be promoted in politics the word system is very important. When you say to me the things like dynastic politics and only people with connections, what is the reason is that there is no system. Building a system takes time. I can tell you with full confidence that three to five years from today that youth congress and NSUI will be producing young leaders by hundreds. I have seen it in Punjab and I have seen it in Gujrat.In Punjab we got 2500 youngsters elected, all of them excellent. In Kerala the leadership feels what is important is experience and winnability.
Manmohan Singh is youthful PM. I will say you this; youth is not about how old you are. I will tell you that I know many people who are older than our PM and I know many people who are eighty and who are as young as me. So it is the way you look at world and it is your attitude. Our PM in his mind is a very young man. He is able to understand the importance of globalization, technology, economics and he is able to put all these things together with our civilization. He is a young person, I am not joking. I am very serious. The difference between a young and a old person is the young person looks to the future. Old person looks to the past. My PM, your PM looks to the future. He makes US deal, looking 30-40 years ahead. He did the reform in 1991 again looking into 30-40 years into the future. Our opposition looks into the past. Our opposition, instead of looking into the future, saying whether India should go, looks in the past. Look at every single thing they say about us. It is about what we did in last five years. Our PM when you sit with him says that 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 what we will do in education. It is clear in my mind, he is the person of future. India wants to know that what will happen in 2100 that is what a young person thinks. BJP says that we very young, very young but in thinking it is about the past.
We are running a particular process in the country, in the youth congress and the NSUI across the country to democratize the organization and increases the youngsters in the organization. That process will go on.
