This was made possible by Sonics cameo appearance in various other Sega game series such as Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg, Phantasy Star Universe, and the remake of Samba De Amigo. Other publishers have also used Sonic the Hedgehog repeatedly. To name a few, he made special appearances in Shining Force 2, Art Alive, Rad Mobile, The Simpsons Game, the Incredible Hulk, Clockwork Knight 2 and the road stretched to the video adaptation of Tom and Jerry. With such big names by its side, it was no surprise that Sonic also made special appearances in The Simpsons, and in an episode of Malcolm in the middle.
