How to Remove Mole and Wart Safely at Home

Warts and moles, also skin tags, are an everyday experience with many of us during our lifetime. More often than not, we decide to leave things as they are, mainly because we expect a lot of hassle and cost in seeking professional help.

1. Skin Tags are minute protrusions of the skin, very common and easy to remove.

2. Moles are usually darkish areas on the skin. In some instances could be regarded as 'beauty spots' when small and in the right place on the face. In other instances these are 'birthmarks' and left at that.

3. Warts are small skin growths, usually forming a raised circular or elongated area on the skin. Caused by the 'human papilloma virus', these are often bothersome and even unsightly.

While it is true, that some of these skin blemishes could be left alone, in some other instances it is best to remove them. For instance, the mole could be in an unsightly spot, or the wart could be rubbing against a piece of clothing, or cause some discomfort or even pain, as in the case of plantar warts. In such cases the removal of wart and mole are clearly worthwhile.

For moles, there is a further reason, which makes removal essential. This is the case for moles that seem to grow or change colour. In such instances, it would be best to consult a skin specialist; as such lesions could be the forerunner of a precancerous condition. The dermatologist can determine whether this is the case, by taking a biopsy, a minute sample of the mole, and sending it to a specialist laboratory for examination.

In general, professional skin specialists (dermatologists) are able to remove moles, warts and skin tags by usually applying one of the following removal techniques:

Freezing with liquid nitrogen

Excision (cutting out the area of affected skin)

Using a laser technique

Cauterisation (using electrical current to burn away the mole)

Most of the time, such as procedure involves several sittings and can become rather expensive but necessary, especially when there is a large skin area involved, or the depth of the lesion makes it essential to have it professionally treated. One other problem area is the prospect of scars following the procedure.

The good news is, that moles, warts and skin tags are often quite easy to remove with the simplest of home remedies, often by purchasing an over-the-counter substance from the local pharmacy.

Most people are completely unaware that such techniques exist and that they are absolutely natural and harmless. Even professionals are sometime unaware of these methods, as they usually concentrate on treating only the more acute cases using the latest professional tools and methods.

In most instances, warts, moles and skin tags may be successfully treated in the home. Typically, substances that may be used include salicylic acid, tea tree oil and castor oil. There are many active' substances that may be used, provided specific methods of application are adhered to.

Clearly, it is not possible to go into further details within the ambit of the short article. However, I would suggest for you to further explore the subject by reading up on this matter.
