"Satisfaction does not come with achievement, but with effort. Full effort is full victory." by Mahatma Gandhi

Prioritizing your tasks from the most to least important is a good practice towards improving your performance. Depending on the circumstance, you should decide which of the tasks needs to be done right away and tasks that can wait for sometime. Preparing a To-Do List is particularly useful when you have a small number of tasks. However, they can become difficult when you have too many items on them, or when you need to progress multiple projects. At this stage, it's worth having an Action Plans. Action planning typically includes deciding who is going to do what and by when and in what order for to achieve your objectives. For an action plan, it is important to know your objectives. To know your objectives, you will need to know about your job responsibilities.

Lets take a different view, how much do you know about your family? You do happen to know what can make them happy and what can help them at difficult times. When you hangout with your friends, how much do you know about them? Do you find yourself with them doing things that share common interests? You know how to cheer them when they need the support. It is about caring. Similar to the ways you take care of people that you know most, you can take good care of the job if you can understand more about your job and your responsibilities. You should be able to understand the following and if you do not know the answer, it is not too late to find out.

The reason why your employer have a post for your position.

Job description withthe duties, responsibilities, working hours and required skills.

Hierarchy of the organisation and reporting relationships.

What are the decisions you can take and you cannot take.

What actions should be prioritized from your daily routine tasks.

Working conditions, tools, equipment used, etc.

Apart from the job responsibilities, you shouldn't have trouble managing your time.Time is precious and the most valuable thing if you know how to value your time. Even the most efficient employees waste time during their work days. An effective time management strategy can help you stay on task and be effective with your work. How much time do you spend to manage your time? First, you have to spend time in order to save time. The concept of time management is actually changing your behaviors, not changing time. For instance, reading and answering email can consume your whole day if you let it. Instead, set a limit of one hour a day for this task and stick to it. Are you wasting a lot of time looking for files on your computer?Take the time to organize your file management system. Is your filing system slowing you down? Redo it, so it's organized to the point that you can quickly lay your hands on what you need. Keep a time log during some time interval, like a week, and then analyze it to see where your time goes. For example, what percentage of time you spend on urgent and on important activities, what people you devote most time to. You are likely to be surprised and will find your way to manage time more efficiently.Once you've come to grips with the time management myth and taken control of your time, youcan be in control and accomplish what you want to accomplish.

Next, you need to improve your communication skill.Your ability to communicate effectively will have an affect on both your personal and work life. No matter what your age, background, or experience, effective communication is a skill you can always learn and improve. In a working environment most problems are caused by ineffective communication. A simple definition of effective communication is when all parties understand the information or idea that is being discussed. A person who communicate effectively, will have a mindset of listening to every word and body movements, analyzing the key message, responding with the right information and involving the appropriate audience relevant to the purpose of the communication.

Working to improve your performance and to consistently raise your personal standards doesn't just benefit your employer, it benefits you. It makes your work more engaging, your days more enjoyable without stress and prepares you for a great future. You spend a lot of time working, after all, why not make it the best experience you can?Improving your performance can help you towards a successful career. Wish you all the best. Good Luck.
