Reology and Proof of God's Existence
Reology and Proof of God's Existence

Being of the Judeo-Christian faith, this author's concerns for proving the infallibility of beliefs such as Islam, Buddhism, Scientology, Hinduism, etc. are not relevant to Reology, for these are, as are all faiths, derivations of the truth originating from proclamations of men convinced of divine revelation. Here, there cannot be any proof such revelation did or did not occur. As with all belief systems, ultimately it becomes a matter of faith. For those who have this faith for the above religions, this author has utmost respect and admiration for their devotion.

Within the Judeo-Christian tradition, the same scenarios apply with Mormonism and Jehovah's Witness beliefs. Further confusion arises from the doctrines of Orthodox and Unorthodox Jewish perspectives. Most confusing of all, are the various Christian belief systems ofCatholicismand the Protestant denominations, and the various Evangelical movements of Christianity. This confusion arises from the fact that each is formulated on doctrines of men rather then God. (This of course is disputed by those upholding these doctrines). However, it boils down to one simple fact. Christianity is not a religion, it is a Person,

Instead of evolving into a common belief system, religions has diversified to further create and exemplify our differences with one another, and therefore perpetuate reasons for us to justify and pursue hostility in ourrelationships with each other. Why? Because we each need to be more correct then the others with whom we share this existence. This does not emanate from any lack of proof of God, but rather our arrogance in thinking we are perfectly capable of speaking for God.

If God created everything there is, why don't we find poof of this in what is around us? Well, actually we do have that proof, but it takes faith to realize it.For example, our universe and all the creation we know came from, according to our intellectual ability to discover truth, some monumental expansion of nothing into everything. What was this nothing? For lack of any better definition, it is called a Singularity, which really means nothing. What existed before this Singularity? No clue. Despite this, we've photographed the remnants of this "Big Bang", which seems to confirm the theories of the sequence of events that the Big Bang Theory originally postulated. This however, provides no information about what the original Singularity is, or where it came from, or what existed before it. Ironically, believing this just takes faith, but faith supported by scientific discovery and of events after the fact of this creation.

Let's now explore the divine explanation of creation. This is based on God's Word, as given to Moses as recorded in the Book of Genesis. Please note the similarity to the Big Bang Theory, but with the additional information of what existed before creation and where creation came from.

Genesis 1 (King James Bible)

1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. 3And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

Naturally, I have no way of knowing what your concept is of God's voice, but to me, I cannot imagine a bigger bang. From nothing, everything came into existence by God's Word, and God existed before our Universe.

Is God the Singularity science suspects, but cannot prove or explain?

Since both versions ultimately require faith to believe, which version is most credible? The one that has existed for 3500 years as explained by He who actually did the creation or the one only recently devised by those who are the created?

Essentially both versions are the same story by two different authors. Why is one story rejected for lack of proof, but the other accepted for the same lack of proof? Those of us who do believe in God "know" He is not arrogant. Can we say the same for ourselves?

We cannot prove God exists. We can find plenty of evidence that He exists all around us, even within us, but it is impossible to prove it. The attempt is complete and pure futility.

Why? Because it is the price of the free will with which He endowed us. If God wanted to make proof of his existence plain and obvious, and we each knew beyond any doubt that He is real and good for His word, what point would free will have? If He is indisputable, if His existence is complete fact, what need would there be to question His Being? What point would there be to faith? Or science, or any pursuit of man? Obviously none.

There would not be any motivation to wonder and discover and define our existence. There would be no purpose to having choices, no reason to develop new methods and inventions, no inner need to create religions or philosophy to explain the unknown, and no point to do anything but be at perfect harmony, fulfillment, and peace while praising God for these things.

Just as obvious then, this is not what God planned for us. Instead, He gave us free will, created us in His image, to go about living exactly as we do, making sure we will never find proof of Him so that He does not violate our free will. He did however give us the evidence of Him.

He placed a measure of faith in the heart of each of us. This is why science cannot replace God, nor can any endeavor of mankind, and this is why finding Him remains as large a part of our experience as any other of our pursuits.

Until recently, our intellectual interests believed it would be the science of Physics that would give us understanding of reality. The discoveries of Quantum Physics however threw a wrench in that hope. The findings of Quantum Physics are simply too baffling for the intellect, more synonymous of religion then science. While every bit of an endeavor as before.

Biology is now the golden boy of science, through genetic engineering, cloning, and stem cell research. Here we believe will we discover the true nature of our being and solve all the problems we currently have no answers for.

What we will discover is what we have already discovered from the Quantum world; the fundamental aspects of reality are beyond our ability to comprehend, and there is an intelligence that designed all that exists, and it is an intelligence we can never reach. It is so complex and so intricately designed that all we will ever accomplish is more questions to be answered for ever question we do answer, plus a little more awareness of how God does things.

That "measure of faith" inserted in each of us by God is our best evidence of his existence, for it conforms to what we have already realized in this series of articles on Reology; all our experience is, and can only ever be, subjective. This is something we all have direct evidence of, if we choose to comprehend that evidence.

Therein lies our proof of God, and it requires faith.
