Summer: how to treat and protect hair
Summer: how to treat and protect hair

The summer is upon us. Among diets last-minute race to buy the perfect bikini and looking for protective creams and ointments to the skin, we often forget to take care of a very delicate part of our body hair.

The summer season is one of the most stressful for our hair. Sun, heat, sand, salt, washing more often, all contribute to weaken the hair and brittle, losing the hair volume, shine and vigor. So here are some tips for protecting the hair from external attacks during the summer.

Use appropriate protection. The sun is lurking and there is no way to escape. Skip to counterattack, and always protect your hair with a hat or a bandana, very fashionable this year. Buy a filter balm with sunscreen that will improve the outcome and will allow you to have perfect hair and healthy even in summer.

No a plate and phono. Try to minimize the use of hair dryers and hot plates, so as not to subject the hair to the scalp as well as over-exposure to heat (the sun already does its part!). The heating of the skin can cause the onset of dandruff or the production of excess sebum.

Wash your hair after a bath. The salt on the hair can make hair dry and dehydrated. After bathing in the sea (but also in the pool because the water is treated with chlorine) always remember to wash your hair with delicate, so as to remove all traces of unwanted substances which, if left to act for several hours; can ruin the hair and irritate the scalp.

Finally, here are some do-it-yourself care to protect and nourish the hair in the summer.

Brittle hair: blend the pulp of an apple and a banana and apply the "mask" on the whole hair. Leave it for about ten minutes and rinse with cold water.

For dry and frizzy hair: Beat an egg or two, depending on the length of the hair, and make a pack for about 15-20 minutes. Rinse everything.

For shiny hair and a little stressed out: make a pack with 5 tablespoons of honey and olive oil 3. You'll see what results!
