Finding A Local Telemarketing Agency
Finding A Local Telemarketing Agency

Should you be considering telemarketing as a way of generating new enquiries, there are a few things that need to be considered.

Firstly, bear in mind that there are around 600 telemarketing agencies around the UK ranging is size from one man telemarketing bands (maybe people that used to work for an agency and decided to start their own business) to large call centers that have 100's of staff working for them. Firstly, you need to select the right sort of telemarketing business and there are two sorts:

Inbound call agencies

Outbound call agencies

Inbound call centers are normally considered 'call centers; that would handle 100's of incoming calls. Most companies that are quite large would use telemarketing agencies (retail businesses, utilities companies, government departments). Outbound call centers would be the one you want - a telemarketing agency that will make lots of phone calls to your target audience. The next thing is deciding on the focus of the campaign (and there are two routes to consider):

B2B (business to business)

B2C (business to consumer)

If you want to call up companies - this would come under B2B telemarketing (and there are an abundance of telemarketing agencies that can do this calling for you. If you want to sell to the general public (calling people at home) this is B2C (and there are not many of these sort of telemarketing companies around). Once you have decided on these two important factors, you then have two things left to consider:

Industry Experience

Cost

As they say, knowledge is power - if the telemarketing agency knows and understands your market - then they will have no problems in finding you new prospects and working the database they put together for you. If you work with an agency that has no background in your industry, it will be an uphill struggle. They will not know the jargon, not know the key players and probably cause embarrassment to you. Cost is always a defining issue - costs for telemarketing range massively from around 150 per day up to around 600 per day; so it is well worth comparing telemarketing companies to get an idea of the best quote.
