I haven't been a huge user of Twitpics or the varying suppliers in terms of sending pics out, but a number of the people I follow are regular contributors to the picusphere (yes I just made that word up).
I use Tweetdeck on my PC and iphone, and you get the option of which service you'd like to upload your photos via, namely TweetPic, Tweetphoto, YFrog and Mobypicture.
I hit each site up and refreshed or looked at 20 page views on each, took some screengrabs of the advertising that appeared, and here is what I got.
Mobypicture doesnt appear to have any advertising on their site.
TweetPic landed me a few interesting ads.and Im not sure I'd want my brands there!
YFrog seemed OK, no real smut, and an Australian ad, so the network that sells them would have some geo-targetting.
Tweetphoto has a mix of local and international ads, some Government ads, Health Insurance, some bingo, and and some smut!
My question is this, when we do so much to protect our brands, and their reputations, are we potenitally throwing that away when advertising like this appears next to our pics, or our clients pics?
You have a choice of supplier, so will this info help you make a considered choice? Or does it not matter?
What do you think? I would love to hear a range of opinions!
