Hollows, and a myriad of other wicked people, constantly invade Karakura Town. With a swing of his Zanpakuto, Zangetsu, Ichigo Kurosaki takes down the mass of haunting ghouls that frequently assault him. During these happenings, the estatically ignorant human population are painfully unaware of the underground fight that goes on around them.

If you are unfamiliar with what is being talked about, then you must have never observed the Bleach magna. Revolving around Tite Kubos great selling manga program, Bleach is fresh}cutting edge Japanese magna at its best. The anime has an innovative plotline involving Ichigo Kurosaki, a person who seems like a punk, but has the immense power to see ghosts. He had no idea that because of this immensity, he would have to become a Soul Reaper. Along side the warriors of an afterlife called the Soul Society, he put his life on the line for everyone he adored.

Splicing historical Japanese philosophy and thought processes with present music formulated subcultures and fashion, Bleach comes off as bright and new. Sometimes it may even seem to be quite Avant Garde, with some of the visual themes written into the anime being almost totally unrelated to the narrative. Though, this offers itself well to the complexity of the tale.

As with many programs, the popularity of smaller characters has sometimes eclipsed that of the main person. One especially, the Soul Reaper Captain Toshiro Hitsugaya, has in fact become one of Bleachs most adored characters. However, whatever happens in regards to a given character popularity, the popularity of the respected Bleach series will not fade anytime soon.
