Here are a few recipes for you to play around with.

In the following homemade hair conditioner recipes, I'll be using ingredients like avocado, olive oil, egg, coconut milk, mayonnaiseas the main base ingredients which act as humectants. They trap in the moisture and keep it locked so that the hair shaft can receive the moisture it needs. Make sure that all ingredients used must be fresh.

Recipe 1 Avocado Mayonnaise Deep Conditioner

This is a deep conditioning recipe to treat dry brittle hair. One treatment will leave your hair moisturised and hydrated.

Mix 1 avocado and half a bottle of mayonnaise in a bowl until a creamy thick consistency is achieved

Apply on hair after shampooing and trap in the moisture with a shower cap.

Leave for 10 15 minutes until the ingredients are fully absorbed into the scalp and strands

Rinse off with shampoo using lukewarm water.

Recipe 2 Honey Egg Conditioner Mask

Natural homemade conditioners can also be used as hair masks by those who are looking for two in one treatments.This is a hair mask treatment to repair damaged hair and split ends.

Mix 2 egg yolks and 6 table spoon of olive oil along with 3 table spoons of honey into a bowl until a rich smooth consistency is achieved.

Apply to dry hair after shampooing and put a shower cap.

Leave for 20 30 minutes. If hair is really damaged, then leave on for 45 minutes to 1 hour

Rinse off with shampoo using lukewarm water.Facial mask can be easily rinsed off, this hair conditioning mask may take a little bit more effort.
