My body was frowned. Though I was suspicious of dad, when he told me the news by himself, I came to understand that I would not like to know the truth at all. I opened the door and saw dad standing before me. "Dad, I don't believe it." I said it with my last hope that what dad told me was a lie. "Yes, Meimei. I'm not a good father. I stole a panerai watch." He said with great sorrow on his face. It made me feel that dad must be hiding something from me, something that he had no courage to tell me. "Meimei," mum rushed out her room and clutched my shoulder, you have a good father.'
I was totally confused by them. Who should I believe? Dad and mum were not honest to me. And they also left me to choose to believe dad or not even though I was the one who had no idea of what happened to dad many years ago. "Dad, it's not fair. It's not fair. You can't ask me to make the choice. You're my dad. How can I believe you stole a panerai watch?" I shouted at dad. I couldn't control myself. "Meimei, Meimei, dad was not a good man. I was so stupid to steal that man's panerai watch. But when dad got the news of your birth, dad decided to be a good man. Can you trust dad? Dad wants to be a good man for you and mum." Dad said sincerely. "Really? You will change for me?" "I will.Dad promise you. I will never do anything that hurt you." I looked up to see mum. She was weeping and looking at dad gratefully. I accepted dad again. No matter what crime dad had crimitted before, he had changed and he was a different man now. What matters is that dad loved me and mum a lot. Only when I made up my mind to accept him, did I realise how much I loved my dad. He was a big tree who protected me from the wind and rain of my life. This was my dad and I would try best to trust him when things happened.
Everybody will make mistakes. The most important is that we should learn to learn from these mistakes. And dad was a wise man who did a well job in learning and changing from his past mistake.
