Farmville is a online game, owned by a well known company named Zynga, Farmville has very recently become very popular across social networking platforms such as Facebook and Myspace, the game allowing users of social networking websites to plant, grow and harvest their own plants within the game.
As you may of already guessed from the games name, Farmville - You obviously are going to be the owner of a farm, it's your job to take care of the farm, invest in new crops and to harvest the crops which have already grown, despite sounding, well not very good, Farmville has proved to be unbelievably addicting, over 20% of Facebook users play/have played Farmville at some point, that's a lot of people!
Even though Farmville is very popular already, the game is in fact still in BETA testing stages, every player is a tester in the eyes of Zynga, who have stated that they are bugs, they will be crashes, but the game hasn't even reached version 1 yet and it's already got a huge following, there has even been talk about Farmville coming on to the iPhone.
Farmville is probably most addicting because, like a farmer you need to wait for your crops to grow, now this is a great feature about Farmville, if you are going to be back on the computer in say 6 hours, you can plant plants that'll grow in 6 hours, so you can log back in and harvest them, likewise if you were going to be off the computer for a few days, you could plant crops which are going to take longer to grow, some plants can take 3+ days before they can be harvested.
Along with the plants, Farmville is being updated pretty much daily with new items and things to do, you can build your own farm, with animals, buildings, fields of crops etc, it all becomes very addicting, it's even worse when you can visit your friends farms, so you can see how they've designed their farm, who has the best farm etc.
