Kitchen Worktops for Interior Design Projects

Worktop Choices for Interior Projects

Purchasing bespoke worktops for a kitchen or bathroom project was once considered a luxury only a few could afford yet with the growing popularity of the internet, buyers are now able to purchase surfaces such as Corian and Silestone at prices that allow them to utilise the greater benefits of a specialist worksurface for their interiors schemes.

Laminates of course remain the most popular surfaces for buyers on a small budget but there are increasing numbers aware of the greater versatility and resilience that bespoke worktops offer, who discover, after requesting a quotation, that they have become more affordable through reputable internet retailers.

Corian is the standard bearer for Solid Surfaces and those who fabricate and install the surface are governed and regulated by the manufacturers DuPont in order that guarantees are worth the paper they are written on Similar can be said of Silestone, the most popular quartz surface in the world and along with quartz worktops such as Luxore, Caeasarstone, Compac Quartz and Zodiaq, the attractiveness of quartz surfaces in the UK is now rendered equal to that of Granite.

What appeals to modern buyers is greater assurance that comes in the form of a warranty and all the above mentioned carry a minimum 10 year manufacturers warranty against defects Sadly this is an attribute lacking for most granite buyers yet the good news is that a relatively recent introduction into the UK market, Sensa Granite, from the manufacturers of Silestone, arrives with a 10 year warranty and with a 15 year stain warranty. It can also be installed for exterior projects as it is UV resistant.

All in all, worktop buyers now have greater choices for their interior projects given the greater affordability of the bespoke worktops but buyers should beware and research is important as there are a number of surfaces that are promoted as bespoke that do not offer the durability, resilience or warranties of those mentioned above.
