The love for ultra-thin and sleek gadgets has prompted companies to come up with ne models or modified versions of old ones. These two new tablet computers are mostly identical in their models but differ in display sizes. Both models, with 2 cameras at the front and rear, have dual core processor with 1 gigahertz capacity and can be connected very fast to HSPA plus, Wi-Fi network.
Even though, the company has not revealed the pricing and launch schedules, the introduction of the new model points to the competition posed by Apple's new thinner, lighter and faster iPad. This iPad is priced at the same rate as that of Samsung's s10.1-inch Galaxy Tab (old version). In order to keep up with this competition from Apple, the speculation of introducing a new version was in the air and soon Samsung came up with new version of 10.1 Galaxy Tab. This updated version came within only two weeks after the launch of the first version. It has been claimed that this version is the thinnest and largest in the industry in the category of tablets. With a flatter back and easy grip, this tablet from Samsung is round edged and outshines Apple's iPad, which is 8.8 millimeters thick.
The second tablet, Galaxy Tab 8.9 is projected as a productivity gadget unlike Galaxy Tab 10.1, which is a media and movie consumption tablet. The company says Galaxy Tab 8.9 is small enough to fit the pocket and is slightly smaller than Galaxy Tab 10.1. Samsung Electronics have added new apps called Mini Apps tray on the screen. You can also fid a Live Panel (can be customized) providing information quickly.
Both these new tablets will be available in 3G versions (16 GB and 32GB). The price for Galaxy Tab 10.1 is fixed to be matching with that of iPad2 and for 8.9, it will be slightly lesser than that of iPad2.
