Getting Stickers Off of Home Doors

When you are selling your home you need the home to be presented in its finest. However if you have kids, chances are they have done some damage to your walls. If you have children then you may know what it is like to have stickers and decals on your walls and your doors. This can be very frustrating for you as a parent when you want to keep your home looking neat and clean for the sale. This article will explain how you can remove these decals for the doors in your home without stress and without a lot of effort.

Start by getting yourself some WD-40. You need to spray the WD-40 onto the decal and it needs to be very wet when you do it. The decal needs to be saturated with this product.

Get a paint scraper and work it underneath of the decal. You will not have any problems getting the decal to lift up off of your door or wall if the sticker is fully saturated by the WD-40.

Once you have most of the decal off of the door or wall you will need to get a wet wash cloth with warm soapy water on it.

Wipe the area clean in order to get the WD-40 off of the door or wall. This will also help you get any glue from the decal off of the surface as well.

You should never try this in an open area of your home until you have tested it in a hidden corner of your home. You want to make sure that you are not going to do any damage to the surface while you use the WD-40. This is very important to remember if you are considering using it on painted surfaces.
