Basically I am not a radio listener. When we have TV, who listen radio's? Some people listen to radio only when they are on walk or in traveling ,Here my question goes, how many people have radio application on there iPhone?
Yeah! right.. What to do with radio application? If we couldn't record a live program or song for later review.
Ihave tried lots of radio application but they are same and with traditional feature. This week I had come up with a tweet of a radio application that is India radio'. I have searched for reviews or blog for this app, but I couldn't find, so I thought of writing myself.
Application Description : India Radio is Application as similar to other radio apps with added feature of pausing the live broadcast and resuming from that point where you left. You can listen live, pause, rewind, on the go with any radio station. Even we can record particular broadcast or songs for later review.
This application provide you with more than 104 trendy and hottest radio stations all over the India and even you can add your favorite channels from anywhere, it can be from USA, Japan, Australia, France, Germany Canada or from any other countries ..
How this radio works:
when you open the application, you will come in contact with introductory image of a cute girl resembling the youth trend, then you will be pass on to radio station menu list, having more than 100 list of Indian channels and all kinds of languages all over India..or you can add your
own.
another added feature is, its possible to add your own favorite channel, from all over the world, to do so go for setting and press Add Custom Station button.. it ask for station name and URL of that channel .. then press Add. now you will be getting your favorite channel on your iPhone screen. You can also share you added channel with your friends, tap on
Add and Share button.
To go for play your radio,Select the station from the Menu List and tap on that player will buffer and you are ready to hear the station. As the streaming start, the player is having three controls, that are Rewind, Pause/Play and Live.
Rewind : It Will help you to go back and listen recorded stream.
Pause and Play : When u press Pause,it stops the radio station and continues
to recording of live streaming. and when u press Play it broadcast from
point where stopped. so that you won't miss your song or program
running live.
Live will take back to you live streaming. i e default feature of radio that is that's all.
Other than these you can go for Settings where you have other options. Like, adding Custom stations. which I have already explained. if you don't like player skin, change it here, go for Settings, and tap on Change Skin button and you will be getting 5 skins. from that which ever you want. select it and it applies to your player instantly. You can set memory allocation space for recording your songs or any program in the settings.
Review
Keeping the functionality minimal is good, there is no hassle in using the application. But, according my perception there can be more features like saving the recorded stream into mp3 or any other file which can be playable in iPhone. I hope to see these features on their future updates, but till now it hasbeen worthy application. I mean to say, what else you can have in $1.99.
If you go for rating I'll give 3.5/5, as I am looking more feature which I mentioned above. Recommending this application to buy wont be bad fallout.
