"puppy crate training- a joy for you and your pet"

Puppies can seem like little balls of energy. All they seem to want to do is get into anything and everything as they explore the world.

But you need to teach them the correct house training so they learn how to obey your commands and know what you expect of them. Just like little children.

You can create a bond between you and your little puppy with Dog house training that will last a lifetime.

Dogs are communal animals, but they still need their own private 'personal' place for meals, sleeping and resting. This is why puppy crate training is such an important part of puppy house training.

Nap-time is important and shouldn't be interrupted. Same with those ever important [to your growing puppy] meals.

Your sweet puppy needs a personal 'space' which can be a kennel in the yard; but should also include an indoor crate incase the weather is bad or yard space limited. And a crate allows you to keep a closer eye on your little one.

Crate train a puppy by taking them to the crate when they are already sleepy or drowsy; after a busy play time or a meal.

Develop a pattern in putting your puppy in the crate and he will learn that the crate is his place to sleep. Always make sure the crate is comfortable and big enough that your puppy can stretch out and have a good sleep.

To help teach your puppy to prefer his crate instead of your couch or favorite chair, make sure the crate has soft comfortable cushions in it.

The crate should be located somewhere where your puppy won't be disturbed while he sleeps. If you put the crate in an active place in your house your puppy won't get much sleep and find somewhere else in the house to sleep.

A few toys in the crate will give your puppy something to chew on or play with if he has trouble falling asleep.

When you puppy realizes that his crate equals sleep then you can start using some simple verbal commands like 'sleep' or 'naptime' when you put him in the crate.

In this way you can ensure that your little puppy gets a good, peaceful sleep in his own puppy bed.
