Emmy-winning series of Discovery Channel's the 'Deadliest Catch' is back in the seventh season, and the new beginning is here. Last season was a record breaking and a heartbreaking year. This season has some new blood, old wounds and competition, that will never die. For some, the change of season, any chance of a name for themselves, but some things remain constant: dangerous, icy Bering Sea and the most dangerous job in the world. Sons of the late captain Phil Harris, the dark clouds and the long shadow of the death of their father still hangs heavy, but Josh and Jake Harris now looks the rest of the fleet that can step back and so the shareholders and the Cornelia Marie.
Deadliest Catch is a documentary / reality show produced original productions for the Discovery Channel. It describes some real-life events on board fishing vessels in the Barents Sea during the Alaskan king crab, C. Opilio crab fishing seasons. Aleutian Islands port of Dutch Harbor, Unalaska, Alaska, is a base for fishing fleets. Series name derives from the inherent high risk of injury or death at work.

Deadliest Catch chronicles the real-life dangers of fishing for Alaska king crab in the treacherous waters of the Bering Sea, but which appears in the series could have become your own risk. Each episode focuses on a story, situation or theme that occurs in one or more vessels, while the parallel stories delve into the background and activities of members of the crew of one or two especially neophytes on several boats.
Captains of the fleets are a leading position throughout the episodes, highlighting their camaraderie with their fellow captains and their crews and their relationships with their competitive nature against other vessels of the fleet on the hunt for crab through the fishing grounds.
Season six of the series was marked by the death of Captain Phil Harris Cornelia Marie, died Feb. 9, 2010 after collapsing on the January 30, 2010. Deadliest Catch built into the death of Harris in this story arc season, and the struggles of the crew Jake Harris, son of the youngest captain, drew public attention in the months that followed.
