Here is the story line of the 17th episode of The Vampire Diaries: "Elena and Alaric become angry with John when Isobel's unexpected arrival devastates Jenna. Bonnie works with Jeremy and Damon in order to find the spell they will need to gather the power of her ancestors. Caroline is heartbroken and doesn't know what to do about Matt. Stefan and Damon realize that they have a new secret weapon."
Elena and both lash out at John (guest star David Anders) when Isobel's unexpected arrival leaves Jenna all alone in devastation. Harnessing one's ancestor's power they have to work together to make it happen, Bonnie works with Damon and Jeremy to find that special spell to strengthen their capabilities. Stefan and Damon have come to realize that they have a new secret weapon. Wendey Stanzler directed the episode written by Mike Daniels.
There's a saying that if the group work together certain tasks will surely be attained. Stefan and Bonnie convince Jonas and Luka interest about being united lead to a violent and intense confrontation. Everybody around you is your enemy, in times like this, you have no one to trust except yourself. For nothing will ever seek you with the truth except yourself. Emotional highlights heat up on this episode.
What worth to mention here is Isobel s (Elena's mother)turning up and Katherine's tragedy, it is such a funny joke here. I'd like to say Mike Daniels (The writer) has done a very good job. I almost believed Isobel is here to protect her beloved daughter Elena but the surprise is that she may be the ally with Katherine to finish her task. However, her last words before she die eventually revealed us the fact she does love her daughter though she is trapped in such a dilemma. I am moved by her great love to Elena but disappointed by her short show up.
There will be another week or so for the episode 18 to come if everything is ok. I just cannot help watching what will happen to Katherine, whether Claus will come back and will Caroline & Matte be couple as the prediction goes? To solve these questionsin your mind, just wait for the episode 18 The Last Dance.
