The Clatter of Chatter

People have been encouraged to talk when driving, to encourage the revival of conversation. This comes as GEM Motoring Assist, a road safety charity, has teamed up with Fink Cards, a company that aims to help people get talking to each other.

The slightly strange initiative is part of a plea to revive the conversation, and to stop children from moaning in the car on long journeys. A set of cards have been devised as topics to start conversations off, and in the case of breakdowns, keep you occupied while waiting for the road side cover to come and save you.

David Williams MBE, chief executive officer of GEM, said: "Keeping the kids happy and entertained in the car is very important, not only to keep the atmosphere relaxed but also from a safety perspective."

Another way to help conversations from dying a death is to car share with colleagues on the way to work. Car shares are not only great for keeping you occupied in the monotony of traffic, but save money and essential fuels, helping you to do your bit for the environment.

GEM Motoring Assist have been quick to point out that you should avoid anything that will cause you distraction when behind a wheel, but Fink Cards have stated that these are something to be used by the passengers as opposed to the driver.

If you are embarking on a journey, make sure that you have Cheap Car Insurance policies are available online and will save you time and money.
